We all know the media has it’s way of spinning stories, so I find this article quite refreshing. A blunt, honest article of the facts involved with the “Toyota Witch Hunt.” When a successful, well respected company such as Toyota is under the limelight for something negetaive, the media can’t help itself!
The publicity over alleged Toyota recall problems is out of all proportion to the events in life. Of all the millions of Toyota vehicles driven each day in the the US, only a miniscule proportion of faults are found. I believe one is safer in a Toyota on any given day than being in a US hospital: I understand there are 90,000 unnecessary deaths in US hospitals each year. Also on any one day, one is more likely to be killed by a weapon stolen from an owner who had not stored it in an unusable condition. For that matter, one is more likely to be a soldier who is killed in a war caused by a head of state who lied, than be killed in a car. Let’s get a sense of proportion!
